I’m just wondering, because i have a very dirty bag…please tell me if there were any effects from using a washer and dryer

i have a five-year-old backpack that has recently grown mold because it has been a very wet summer and i kept the bag in a rather moist place without moving it around a lot. it honestly has a lot of grey and white mold on it. the mold is in both inside compartments and all over the outside. i honestly wouldn’t mind getting a new one at this point considering how gross it currently looks and smells, but my parents told me that if i just wash the bag it will be fine (aka sanitary and not visually frightening). what should i do?

Like if you wrote something on your backpack using permanent marker, and put the backpack into the washing machine, does it wash off?

I have this really cute canvas backpack. It’s an off-white color with some little black designs. But it’s a couple years old and it’s gotten dirty. Would it be okay to machine wash it, and air dry it? Would the black designs fade? There aren’t any care instructions on the bag.
And it’s kind of a soft canvas, made from cotton.

i have a yellow and white striped backpack but it says no washing, no dry cleaning, clean with wet sponge, but i have and it doesn’t do anything! the stains are on yellow and white so please tell me what to do

What would be your best advice for washing it out. It’s a Under Armour backpack for school.

i was really dumb one day I got gum on my shorts and backpack. I used nail polish remover to take most of it off and I did the worst thing possible. i put it in the wash. It does not come off now.

So, I was going through my school stuff and I find that some soda was spilled on my backpack and now there’s a huge mark down the front. Anyone know how to wash this in a washing machine??/ And how can I wash it so that the zippers don’t get messed up?

a bottle of bodywash opened up in my backpack and i have bodywash all over the bottom of my backpack how do i clean it?
