My husband is working on his graphic novel, and he has characters that are in high school, and he wants to know if people can carry backpacks to class. I graduated in ’96 and don’t remember if we were permitted to bring backpacks to class or not, and he never went to public school. Anyone know? How is it at your school today? Thanks!

I figured that I would use a tote for carrying my books to class and such and a backpack on the side for taking books home. where can i find a cute tote and a backpack w/o breaking tha bank?
I don’t have a lot of money so it can’t be expensive. i went to a small catholic private school last year i had a huge backpack! we had a lot of big books and a big locker. For high school i heard that we don’t have as many books to carry at once and the locker is much smaller. I want it to be different and cool but im not sure what kind to get.

I just bought a neon yellow adidas backpack. I had an adidas last year and it was great, but it was a one-shoulder-slingy-thing, and I don’t want one of those. so….any suggestions?
I need a new backpack. It needs to be big enough to hold a some big binders and textbooks that I will be carrying around in highschool and that will last for use in college. Which one should I get?
I’m going into a private high school next year, so I feel kind of intimidated as to the quality of my stuff. I’d like something with good quality (but that my stingy parents would allow) at the same time. I’m definitely leaning toward a comfortable tote bag, and I’d like it to have a cute design or a funny phrase. (It’d be nice if it supported a good cause, but it really doesn’t matter.) I do NOT want a preppy bag -everyone has those. I’m on the nerdy side, I admit, but the cool nerdy side if such a thing exists. The bag must also be big enough for my laptop, which is around 15 inches. I like conversational pieces as I’m rather shy and can’t think of topics without someone speaking to me first. I would like a purse for the essentials, but it’s not really important. Again, I would prefer affordable, high quality, and cute, but not preppy or trashy. (A small to medium sized purse with pockets and zippers that is easy to use would be best.) Thank you for your help on this matter.
